Apple's applescript site is improving. :-) check out
http://applescript.apple.com. You might also take a look at
http://www.documentation.com/applescript/applescript.html, which is not an
apple site, but a third party (Cambridge Publications) who has done a lot
with the language. As for beginning books, my favorite is _The Tao of
Applescript_, published by BMUG. You might also check out the Mac
Programming forum on Delphi (www.delphi.com, in the Computing area) where
we are in the early stages (had our second meeting tonight :) of a
beginning scripting course that meets Wednesdays at 930 PM EST in the chat
room.
