Can anyone help me.

Where can I get nameserver software for the dos enviroment and what is the cost.
I would like to set up my own domain and equitment.

Also where can I get information on writing e-mail frontends the part that
users interact with, I want to write one for a new b.b.s system.

I would greatly appreciate it if some one could point me in the right
direction to obtain this information and the above nameserver program.
