question about mh

can anybody help me
i want to set up mh so that when repl the template consists of the original
message with > in col 1. what do i do? the relevent line from my .mh_profile is

repl: -filter /u0/simon/.mh_filter -nocc me -fcc +OutGoing -annotate -inplace

where .mh_filter is

:
body:nocomponent,formatfield=">%{text}"

what have i done wrong?
