I was wondering if any work is being done to cater for the interoperability of
x.400 body parts with the extensions being worked on in the MIME stuff by
Nat Borenstein and Ned Freed.

Why this came up:

Corporately we have decided upon the x.400 standard as the way to go.

Yesterday I'm sitting at my Mac using Eudora and some mail arrives which
is an x.400 message (sent from another mac using DEC All-in-1 x.400 based
mail) with an attached body part (actually an MS Word document).
Of course Eudora couldn't do anything with it, but it occured to me that if
Eudora did MIME and if MIME uderstood x.400 body parts then I could easily
coexist with the x.400 corporate religion and still keep by beloved Eudora.

I'm *not* saying that Steve Dorner should put MIME in Eudora (yet). Just that 
if the above *could* work then it would be a nice-thing-to-have :-)
