Alas, IBM mainframe file systems do not tolerate empty lines, thus IBM
mainframe mailers are irreparably broken. IBM waffles on this, sometimes
stripping trailing blanks to "fix" the empty line (which breaks uudecode),
sometimes leaving the single blank in the message line, which breaks
RFC 822 compliant readers, but never fixing the underlying defect in
the file system.
