WP Office to AT&T gateway

We have WP Office 4.0 running on a Novell network.  we need to establish
an Email gateway to AT&T Mail (Easylink services).  The one solution that
our AT&T rep gave us is Notework Corp.'s A-Gate.  This is Novell MHS based
and is supposed to run on a dedicated PC on our network.  This software is
priced per addressable person: $399 for a 10 user pack, $1499 for a 50 user
pack, and around $7000 for a 250 user pack.

Does anyone have experience with this method of accessing AT&T mail?
Is there another asynchronous (dialup) solution available?

I could always send text email thru the Internet, but that won't support
binary files.
