We are using a SCO Unix machine running mmdf as our main Internet relay and sporadically and randomly messgaes fail with nameserver timeouts. I suspect that sometimes due to pressure on the nameservers they simply don't respond in adeqaute time for these particular domains. However Sendmail at least would tend to queue the message for later delivery, or retry the nameserver. Is there a way to configure the mmdf channel to do this? I really OUGHT to go to sendmail - but mmdf is so eccentric that I am reluctant to abandon it just yet ;-)
