According to jpm@logixwi.uucp (Jan-Piet Mens) (in <1991Jul03.152239.8660@logixwi.uucp>): >Hello World, > > I would like to record what messages are send out by mail > out of my system, and what messages come in to the system. > What would be ideal, is a list, containing name of user > who initiated mail, date, and perhaps subject line or even > part of the message. > > Is this possible ? Yes and no. You can easily get a list of all the mail sent which will have to date it arrived on your system, as well as the size of the message, originator, and recipients (Some of this you will have to infer by matching up lines with the same message-id). Unfortunately (for you, others will probably think otherwise), there is no easy way to collect Subject lines. In order to acquire the logging information you can get, set "MMSGLOG level=FST" in the mmdftailor file. -- David J. Fiander SCO MMDF Development Team SCO Canada, Inc.
