Hello,

The uucp-maps for Northern California haven't been updated since October 1991.
Our entry has changed two times since then and will soon receive another change
when we relocate the company. I have seen a couple of postings about the lack
of updates for the u.usa.ca.EVEN maps so I will not repeat on all the negative
effects this has.

I would like to know:

1.) What is the reason for the missing updates ?

2.) Assuming lack of volunteers: What is involved in becoming a
regional map-maintainer beyond the obvious ?
	    The obvious being:
		- providing an email address for map requests.
		- providing disk space.
	    	- Checking requests for obvious mistakes or duplicate name.
		- Compile all map entries into the u.usa.ca.EVEN set.

3.) Who should be contacted for volunteering ?
I might volunteer, based on the amount of work involved beyond the
	    obvious (See question 2).

Thomas

P.S.: I have mailed these questions also to uucpmap@rutgers.EDU and
Rob Robertson <nca-maps@violet.berkeley.edu> .
