often when people get a message where the sender has asked for a read receipt, the receiver gets prompted before the receipt is sent .... I can tell you that in my case I always refuse to send the receipt, for two reasons: - I am not keen to let people know if I have read their email :-) - The network is already submerged with trashmail en spam, no need to add to this....... hopes this provides some help......
