I currently use a Vax account. Is there any way possible that my Vax
account automatically emails a copy of all my incoming mail to my MCIMail
account?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I am not familiar with MCIMail, but if it is mapped to a regular
internet mail address, you would just place this address in a
.forward file in the home directory of your acmex account.

For example, my address at tech is gt0145c@prism.gatech.edu, but the
mail gets forwarded to my crl account. My .forward file has just
one line:

dmiller@crl.com

This keeps me from putting up with busy phone lines to campus. Hech,
I don't even really need to call my ISP. I can telnet to crl from
work. The acmex machine at tech is not reachable by telnet outside
of campus.

Later,

The answer is yes if your have SMTP mail on your VAX (ie. UCX or MX).
At the MAIL> prompt type:

SET FORWARD "SMTP%""gt3088a@acmex.gatech.edu"""

The positioning and number of double quotes in important. the SMTP% part changes
depending on what transport you are using. Your System Manager should be able
to tell you what it is. Here is a couple to try:

DEC TCP/IP Services for VMS (UCX) uses SMTP%
	Madgoat MX uses MX%

Any problems please mail me.
