my_hdr with embedded newlines

The other day I tried to setup a my_hdr with an embedded newline, like:

my_hdr Organization: somwhere\
\nsomething

But this didn't work, neither did any of the other things I tried.  Is
it possible at all?  How?

I'd appreciate any pointers.  Thanks.
