I don't believe Mercury can; but Mercury/32 can.

You need to be running a version like 3.21b. Go to the config panel for
MercuryS (the SMTP server), and pick the "Spam" tab.

Thank you, Sheila, but there's a tad bit of a problem...

The most recent version of Mercury/32 I can find is like 3.01a. Am I
missing something?

David Harris, the author, has just made the following announcement this
morning, on the Mercury mailing list.

To: MERCURY@BAMA.UA.EDU
Subject: Mercury/32 v3.21c unrestricted release
From: David Harris <David.Harris@PMAIL.GEN.NZ>
Date: Fri, 22 Dec 2000 00:50:04 +1300

The Mercury/32 Mail Transport System v3.21c is now available for
unrestricted release using any of the following URLs:

In North America:
        http://risc.ua.edu/pegasus/mercury32/m32-321c.exe
        ftp://ftp.usm.maine.edu/pegasus/mercury32/m32-321c.exe

In Europe:
        ftp://ftp.let.rug.nl/pegasus/mercury32/m32-321c.exe

In Asia and the South Pacific:
        ftp://pegasus.topnz.ac.nz/pegasus/mercury32/m32-321c.exe

V3.21c is the culmination of a series of preview releases that has come
out over the last three months: each time we thought we were ready to
remove the release restriction, some small new problem was brought to
our attention, so we would decide to hold the release and fix it. This
has
resulted in a much longer release delay than we ever anticipated, but
also
means that v3.21c is probably the most thoroughly-tested version of
Mercury there has ever been. I'm more than a little proud of v3.21c - it
has
been a real labour of love, and I think it's now a truly
industrial-strength
mail system.

V3.21c represents an enormous enhancement over the v3.01a release
version, and we strongly urge all sites using v3.01a to upgrade to
v3.21c,
especially if they use Mercury/32 in NetWare mode (Bindery or NDS). The
changes between the v3.21b public preview and v3.21c are a fix that
could cause the MercuryD module to crash when presented with certain
types of corrupted address headers, and a change to the way message-ID
headers are generated for mailing list mail. If you are using the public
beta
of the MercuryI IMAP server, it will run without changes or known
problems under v3.21c.

If you encounter verifiable bugs in v3.21c, please report them to

   tech-support@pmail.gen.nz

giving as full a description as possible. Reports will be escalated to
the
test team as necessary.

I and my test team offer you our warmest wishes for the Festive Season,
wherever you may reside - may your turkey be tender, your wine be wet,
and your days be pleasant and relaxed. :-)

Cheers!

The most recent version as of 21dec2000 is 3.21c.
It can be found on ftp.let.rug.nl/pegasus/mercury32/m32-321c.exe

Thank you all for the replies. I guess I went brain dead on this one
and forgot to check the pre-release versions.

So far as I know, there is only one download. However, it is pretty
small. Only 1.4 Mb. When you run the install, it asks whether it is a
new install, or an upgrade. If you select upgrade, it will only update
the binary files and leave all your config files intact.
