Client OS:      SunOS 4.1.1
Name Server OS: Ultrix2.4-C

Problem:
mr.xxx.yyy has been set up as a mail exchanger.  If I try to mail to
user@mr.xxx.yyy my sendmail on the sun tells me:

jack@mr.xxx.yyy... Never heard of host mr in domain xxx . yyy


Hints:
I use /etc/resolv.conf to resolve names.
A nslookup session follows

% /usr/etc/nslookup
Default Server:  slunix.xxx.yyy
Address:  129.58.#.##

> mr
Server:  slunix.xxx.yyy
Address:  129.58.#.##

Name:    mr.xxx.yyy


> set querytype=mx
> mr
Server:  slunix.xxx.yyy
Address:  129.58.#.##

mr.xxx.yyy      preference = 0, mail exchanger = saems.xxx.yyy
saems.xxx.yyy   inet address = 129.58.##.##


It seems to me that I need to tell sendmail that mr.xxx.yyy is a mail
exchanger so that when it does its nslookup it will have the querytype
set correctly.  I can't seem to find an option for sendmail.cf.  Does
anyone out there have a solution?  I have been working on this problem
off and on for over a week without success.
