Hi Guys,
At this stage I am going through the O'Reilly book on sendmail which is great.
The problem is that I cannot find anywhere both on the net and in the book on
how to configure a client to use sendmail as opposed to local delivery.
The question in my mind is, is there some code written into the client that
says if the mail message is for "user" then deliver directly to the users'
mailbox, and if the mail message is for "user@host" then pass over to sendmail.
My questions are :
(1) how do you configure the mail clients to use or not to use sendmail ?
(2) if the mail has to be passed off to sendmail, what is the mechanism for
this ?
Many Thanks
Graham
