I have been able to get sendmail 8.6.5 to run under Open Desktop 3.0
(Sco Unix 3.2V4.2), but only without DNS support.  I cannot get 8.6.x
to run on ODT 3.0 with NAMED_BIND compiled in.  It dumps core on the
sendmail getcanonname() routine within one of the resolver functions.
I posted this problem to comp.mail.sendmail previously.  No one has
responded.  I am not doing anything out of the ordinary - compiled with
SCO's  development system with -D_SCO_unix_4_2 defined, and am linking
with -lsocket.  I've also tried it with -D_SCO_unix vice the 4.2
and still have the same result.  With 8.6.5 though, I didn't have to
change anything to compile.  8.6.4 I had to.  The compile is by NO means
a clean one with the SCO compiler.  Lots of type mismatches.

I appreciate any advice or ways my particular problem can be solved.
I tried porting BIND 4.9 to SCO, but had some difficulty getting 
sendmail to link with it, so I gave up.  I thought there might be an
incompatibility with SCO's resolver and the way sendmail was calling
it.
