Hello All.

I have a problem on a server running FreeBSD 5.2.1 and sendmail 8.12.10

Whenever I send to multiple users delimited by semicolon I get a returned
message with the following error:

The original message was received at Tue, 31 Jan 2006 16:12:39 -0500 (EST)
from david@localhost

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
d@domain.net; david@domain.net

----- Transcript of session follows -----
553 5.1.3 d@domain.net; david@domain.net... Invalid route address

The only way I can send to multiple users is by using a comma to separate
the addresses. I need to be able to use semicolons.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

So don't do that - there is no standard e-mail context where multiple
addresses separated by semicolon is a valid syntax.

Yes, that is the correct syntax.

Why on earth would you need to do that? Does the answer change if you
throw away the M$ crap that displays multiple addresses with an unusable
syntax?
