Hello,
I have configured linux as an email server useng sendmail and qpopper
(POP3).
All works fine!
In my maillog file I find this entry from qpopper:
Jun 2 07:35:38 mydomain qpopper[1078]: (v3.0.2) Unable to get canonical
name of client 63.162.216.21: Unknown host (1)

Can somebody explain me what this means, and how to take care of this?
in my inet.conf  file:
pop3    stream  tcp     nowait.400      root
/usr/local/lib/popper/popper qpopper -s -R
Is there something in here (syntax?) that should be different?

Thanks for your help

It simply means that there is no reverse DNS listing for the IP
address 63.162.216.21.  For example:

$ nslookup 63.162.216.21
Server:  localhost
Address:  127.0.0.1

*** localhost can't find 63.162.216.21: Non-existent host/domain

In other words--it's not a problem.
