Hi, I am at a point where I need to decide on the right MTA to handle our internet mail on an NT network of 16 Win95 PC's. My users will need to access their internal mail (Outlook) and internet mail (???) from the office and remotely. Ideally, if they could read both mail types from a remote location, that would be best, however, with my limited experience, I can only see how they can read their internet mail. The number of users is likely to double in the next 12 months, and it needs to be stable. Any pointers ? Thanks, Greg.

If stability is the need get rid of the NT box and replace it with a Linux box with Samba. Included in all Linux distributions is Sendmail but you may prefer use Qmail. There is no difference between local & remove mail is is just mail. You read it with either a pop or imap client. regards, Richard Hayes Nada Marketing 113-115 Oxford St Darlinghurst 2010 Phone (61-2) 9360 5555 Fax (61-2) 9361 0094 http://www.nada.com.au Remove underscore to reply by email Email nada_@nada.com.au Open Source + Skill = Better Business Solutions

Go to "ftp://ftp.planix.com/pub/Smail/" for a current release which has builtin spam protection and other nice features... -- ,u, Bruce Becker Toronto, Ontario 1 416 699 1868 a /i/ Internet: bdb@gts.org Uucp: ...!gts!bdb `\o\-e millihelen, n.
