Thanks to everyone who replied. It turns out there are still a fair number of
sites that will give out free uucp connections, including uucp over tcp.

There are also a number of companies that will provide low-cost uucp
connections in the range of $10/month if you want something with support.

Two places giving out free uucp connections by both modem and tcp are sbay.org
and bungi.com. I got set up with bungi.com very quickly and easily; a big
thank-you to Dave Rand for the service. (Nothing wrong with sbay.org; I just
got set up with bungi.com so quickly before other responses about sbay.org
came in :-)

Thanks for the help!

- Alan

For those interested-

I didn't save all of the replies :-( but I noted the following places:

postino.com - steve@hendrix.postino.com
skypoint.com - Mary Lee Pawlyk email:lee@skypoint.com
shorelink.com - George Bonser <grep@shorelink.com>
netusa.net - office@netusa.net - (TCP coming in April)

Apologies to anyone I forgot.
