I am experiencing difficulty getting UUCP working over TCP/IP. I am attempting to connect to a remote host which is running Taylor UUCP. I am using the standard SCO UUCICO (and have also tried v1.04 of Taylor UUCICO with the same results.) Basically, what appears to be happening is as follows: I connect to the remote system fine, but for some reason my system thinks the file the remote system is sending to me is 1+ gigabytes in size. Naturally, its not. Its actually a 3k piece of test e-mail. I have included a sample UUCICO debugging session for review. Anyone have any ideas? --> Included -x9 debugging data mchFind called (paperbo) list (rmail) num = 1 fillFlds: entered fillFlds: returning list (/usr/spool/uucppublic) list (/usr/tmp) num = 2 list (/usr/spool/uucppublic) list (/usr/tmp) num = 2 list (rnews) list (rmail) list (uucp) num = 3 _Request (TRUE), _Switch (TRUE), _CallBack (FALSE), _MyName (), _Commands rnews _Commands rmail _Commands uucp chdir(/usr/spool/uucp/paperbo) conn(paperbo) ProtoStr = t Device Type TCP wanted Internal caller type TCP tcpdial host paperboy, port 540 family: 2 port: 7170 addr: 0801d49b set interface TCP processdev: calling setdevcfg(uucico, TCP) getto ret 5 expect: (ogin:) login:got it sendthem (######^M) expect: (word:) Password:got it sendthem (######^M) imsg > ok1^J^PShere=paperboy^@Login Successful: System=paperboy omsg "Sanomaly -Q0 -x9" imsg >^J^PROK^@msg-ROK Rmtname paperbo, Role MASTER, Ifn - 5, Loginuser - root rmesg - 'P' imsg >^PPtfg^@got Ptfg wmesg 'U't omsg "Ut" Proto started t *** TOP *** - role=1, gtwvec: dir /usr/spool/uucp/paperbo wmesg 'H' rmesg - 'H' got HN PROCESS: msg - HN HUP: *** TOP *** - role=0, rmesg - '' got S D.paperboB0042 D.paperboS0042 agent - D.paperboB0042 0666 PROCESS: msg - S D.paperboB0042 D.paperboS0042 agent - D.paperboB0042 0666 SNDFILE: msg - S Remote Requested: paperbo!D.paperboB0042 --> anomaly!D.paperboS0042 (agent) SLAVE - cntrl_cntrl_filename: /usr/spool/uucp/paperbo/D.paperboS0042 chkpth ok Rmtname - paperbo TMname(/usr/spool/uucp/paperbo/TM.16840.000) wmesg 'S'Y trddata expecting -2130575360 bytes trddata expecting 1181904749 bytes

No, not at all. Use "i" and stick to taylor uucp. Far more reliable, better configuration. gert -- ... ich kann diese signature nicht mehr sehen!
