When I go into a store and buy a video card, I expect to take it home and I expect it to work. What I don't expect is to be sold a known bad video card, that is NOT expected to work, and having to get in the car, drive all the way back, argue with the sales people, then get another video card, drive home, install into machine, and yup! You guessed it....that one doesn't work either. This complacent sheep-like attitude of customers who go into stores with thier pants already down around thier ankles, a jar of vasoline in one hand and the other carrying a sign saying "please screw me good, I promise to not complain", is fostering the kind of quasi-criminal/dishonest business like this National computer. If you enjoy the type of business like Computer 1 and Way2Cheap, who take in computers for repair up to the day they declare bankruptcy, and sell your stuff so the owner can hurridly buy a giant house with lots of land, and then put it in his wife's name so the bankruptcy courts can't touch it, well, I have a short list of other "fine" establishments you might want to patronize, so you can save a little bit of money because you are "technically savvy". Now, to top it off, this crooked dimwit who runs the place can't even manage to run a virus-checking program, and emails viruses to his customers. What in the hell kind of excuse for this asshole are you going to come up with now? >On Thu, 25 Feb 1999 09:45:46 -0600, Eric Sandeen <sandeen@io.com> wrote: > >I can't and won't speak for the honesty of lack thereof, but I CAN tell >you the response I received from them was infected with a virus (yes, >there was an attachment - no, we are not stupid enough to open it - our >scannners caught it).
