SLS>SCSI one. I figure I'll let all the manufacturers figure out XA, Dual
SLS>Speeds, Multi Session Photo CD, etc before I spluge for one of those.
SLS>Right now, they are commanding top dollar. In the meantime, the $199 one
SLS>should do for what I need. So, its slow (800ms), I'm patient :-)
What you should be concerned about is: A cd-rom drive has to transfer
150kb/sec to be truely MPC compatible. Otherwise all the videos and
sounds will be *real* jerky....
SLS>If anyone has impressions about the DAK $199 CD-ROM, I'd appreciate
SLS>hearing about it, good or bad.
I have basically the same one in my computer (made for a Tandy) and I
wouldn't waste my money on it. If they hadn't given it to me for free
at work......
