Seek advice on audio noise removal

I'm trying to remove noise from some recordings and two
similar PC programs caught my eye, however I don't think
the resolution is high enough with either of them to get
at the broadband or click/pop noise frequencies.

Sound Impresson: waveform editor feature
Animotion: edit sample dialog box screen

Any recomendation on the use of the two programs mentioned
or other higher resolution programs, would be appreciated.
I would be grateful for any advice on the subject.

Thanks in advance.
