This was true when AMT was launched three years ago, but at least 18 
months ago Apple droppped the licence. You can now distribute titles 
built with AMT completely free. You don't even need to put a "Made with 
Apple Media Tool" logo on, as you do with Director. Contact Apple for 
confirmation if you wish.

By the way, AMT 2.0 has just been launched: its a great deal easier to 
use, and much more powerful (e.g. QTVR without any coding...)
