For registered WAVmaker 2.x users, 2.3 is a free upgrade. If you 
have an Advanced registration, don't worry; you will still get the
next major release free of charge. 
 
The main improvements (apart from bug fixes and minor UI mods)
are MIDInight Express/Mellosoftron support and revised frequency
tables, more forgiving to patches using keyboard mappings different
from those employed in WAVmaker's default patch library.

 WAVmaker 2.3 features CD quality  MID -> WAV rendering,  Digital 
 Signal Processing functions (mix, maximize, fade, gate, compress, 
 enhance, low/high/band/notch filter, ring modulation, vocoder, 
 reverse, echo, reverb, flange, chorus, extend, cut, gated cut) 
 and MIDI analysis/manipulation. Full documentation is included.
 
 WAVmaker is shareware. The WAVmaker Evaluation Package comes with a 
 subset of the full General MIDI patch/sample library delivered upon 
 registration.

Version 2.3 will be distributed the usual way, as a complete file 
set, from WAVmaker's Home Page and major FTP sites. The URL for

COMMON SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:   386+. FPU recommended. High quality 
                              sound card (16 bits/44.1 kHz/stereo) 
                              strongly recommended. 3.5 MB free
                              hard disk space (10+ MB recommended).
 
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (16 BIT): MS Windows 3.1 or higher. Disk cache 
                              (e.g. SMARTDRV.SYS) recommended. 
 
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (32 bit): MS Windows 95 or NT.
