Can anyone help me with a query on programming a DVI card (under OS/2
and MMPM/2) using the MCI string interface?

I'm trying to play videos without opening and closing the display context
each time, as this slows things down greatly.

The following works but is painfully slow (around 10 seconds to start
playing each video):

	open video1.avs
	play digitalvideo
	close digitalvideo
	open video2.avs
	play digitalvideo
	close digitalvideo
	...

I would like to do the following:

	open digitalvideo
	load video1.avs
	play digitalvideo
	load video2.avs
	play digitalvideo
	...
	close digitalvideo

But on attempting the 'load' I get an 'instance inactive' error message.
Any suggestions?
