Hello!
SGI has several options for converting digital data to NTSC signals. We just
purchased VideoLab, and it has all kinds of video options. Contact your local
SGI Rep. for more info, or post to comp.sys.sgi.graphics.
I am not so sure about other platforms.

Have you checked out the people at RGB Spectrum, 950 Marina Village Parkway, Alameda, CA 94501. That's about it don't have a phone or fax off hand. They've got a range of products for PC/Mac/UNIX. They can pump in a broadcast signal into a windowing environment and a graphics signal into a broadcast signal. I am using a PAL into IBM RS6k/560 box.

We have the Parallax XVIDEO board which includes video out option. The board's expensive (around $7K) but it comes with optional compression chip (CL550). If you've got money to burn, I played with a Yamashica scan converter (approx. $15K (?)) from an outfit in Kansas (Grunefield, I think) who is the US distributer. It's a *very* nice device and it produces excellent pictures. You can connect it up to any of several high scan rate workstations. Larry
