Does anyone recall a freeware file called speaker.exe which enabled Windows to use the pc speaker (no audio card required) to sample Window sounds? The article mentioned the sound is not great, but at least it gives you an idea as to what the .WAV sound like. Unfortunately I cannot remember which article I read it in nor where the file can be obtained from.

I think I grabbed a copy of SPEAKER.EXE from wuarchive.wustl.edu. Try looking in /systems/msdos/win3 (or something like that)... Kevin -- Kevin J.
