Matrox Millennium: color distortion after screen saver

I am also using a Matrox Millennium /w 2MB WRAM (High color mode) and I
sometime encounter a strange behavior that when the screen load up after
it exits the screen saver (win95). The screen color changes to its
negative counterparts when the screen comes up again.

Also there is another problem. I see my screen flicks very often. Some
part of the screen becomes distorted (like a electrical surge) and then
everything turns back to normal. This ususally happens within half a
second. But I am suspecting that this is a problem with my monitor
rather than the video card. I am using the MAG DX15T (something like
that) monitor.

I would like to know if anyone encounter a similar problem.

I don't think it's your monitor. I used to have similar problem before. I am
using matrox millenium with 2M WRAM and my monitor is a rebadged MAG17. I got
rid of the problem by downloading the latest display driver for Win95 from MAG
website ( www.mag.com). Just follow the menu which says download drivers. Just
be patient, the site can get pretty busy sometimes.

you might want to try http://www.microsoft.com/windows/software.htm,
this has all the new device drivers and more.
