Hi, netter
I plan to purchase the video-capture board,
following boards are been considered:
1. Pro MovieStudio - Media Vision
2. Video Blaster (RT300 or FS200) - Creative Labs
Does anyone have experiences about the above boards?
Any comments, suggestions will be very much appreciated!
PS. Intel Smart Video Recorder board costs a lot of money.
Is it really worth that much of money?
Thanks in advance
Jerry

I've tried ProMovie, VideoBlaster (FS200), and Videola... The video overlay feature of the VideoBlaster and Videola is nice for watching live video... but has no effect on the captured video. In a brief comparison between the ProMovie and the VideoBlaster, the compressed video from the ProMovie was sharper and the AVI file somewhat smaller than a similar file captured with the VideoBlaster. Both VideoBlaster and Videola had 'feature connector' compatibility problems with my video cards (Hercules Dynamite, Orchid Pro IIs), and had to be returned... By the way, the Media Vision Video Developer's Library (mvvlib.zip), the register spec (pmspec.zip), and the updated ProMovie Studio drivers (pmstud21.zip) are available on: ftp.netcom.com:/pub/neisius Bill Neisius bill@solaria.hac.com
