music composition software

My wife composes her own music on piano.
What she wants is a computer programme that will edit & print music. There
is no need for MIDI support etc, she just wants to be able to print it
out on a printer (either dot matrix or laser)

Does anyone know of public domain or shareware software to do this ?
Please email, as I don't read some of the groups I am posting to.

Thanks in advance.
