Macintosh voice processing software?

I need Macintosh software that can to record my voice and play it
back a fraction of a second later, continuously in real time.

I also need to "drop out" very short sections of my delayed voice.
I'll probably want to have it output my voice for 10 milliseconds,
than output silence for 10 milliseconds, output my voice again for
10 milliseconds, etc.

I don't program very well and don't want to deal with addressing
memory locations, etc.

I'd be willing to pay someone to write me such an application. It
doesn't need to run on a Macintosh. I've heard about chips that
might be able to do this.

This may be a dumb question, but why don't you just buy an inexpensive
digital delay with a bypass footswitch if you want something to run in
real time. Why does it need to run on a computer?

What are you trying to achieve here? I suspect that if you frame your real
question someone will be able to tell you of a way to do this with current
off the shelf effects pedals.

You obviously have little knowledge of computers. I would suggest that this
would not be a good avenue to explore. It would apparently not be hard to
write this on a Mac - there are standard routines for voice processing -
but (wonderful machines as they are) the resultant sound quality would
probably not be good enough for broadcast or recording.

Some of the more environmentally aware dinosaurs were worried about the
consequences of an accident with the new Iridium enriched fusion reactor.
