ANNOUNCING CARE4TH(tm) FOR MACINTOSH VERSION 3.1

9/16/92 Milwaukee

Imagine storing and managing virtually all your patient records and
clinical information on a single laptop or desktop computer, ready to
use at the office, at home or on rounds. Think of the data management
power, new and important capabilities to scan for interactions,
allergies, and "due" status, store lab results, medical literature
references, and more. Then imagine this system optimized to allow entry
of this information using your own pre-written templates and "choice
windows" so that all you need to do is point, click and type a few
words
for most notes. Of course, you could efficiently print out any note or
data in elegant fashion. This description is only part of what Care4th
has to offer, using an interface totally familiar to virtually any
health care provider, with traditional Macintosh(r) ease of use. Here
is
what is new in our latest version...
                            -----------------------
3.1 is considered a major upgrade to Care4th(tm). Building on its
highly
acclaimed predecessors, this version incorporates numerous enhancements
in performance, new features (many suggested by our highly creative
users), and interface improvements.

At its current price of $829, Care4th(tm) is a superb value, surpassing
by
far many of its competitors which sell for $3000 and more! While our
consultants may remind us that the program is vastly under-priced for
its power, we prefer to think that by keeping it affordable, many users
who might not otherwise consider a state-of-the art medical informatics
system will be able to afford and benefit from Care4th(tm). So far, you
have proven us right. In sites ranging from solo offices to the NIH,
Care4th(tm) is changing the way health care providers manage their
clinical
information.

New in Version 3.1
==================
* Retains and archives inactive medications automatically * Supports
duplicate drugs and diagnoses (after a suitable reminder) for tracking
of recurrent events * Transfers deleted diagnoses to the history
section
automatically (at your option) * New Quick Search items allow instant
access to the three commonest database searches, plus all new search
engine interface for custom searching. Labels, reports, lists, and
exporting to disk are fully implemented. Double-click access to 'found'
records is supported.

* Assign medications to a certain 'class' such as penicillin, sulfas,
aminoglycoside, ACE inhibitor. A patient can then be defined as
allergic
to a given class, and you will be alerted to an allergy if any of those
drugs are entered in that patientUs record! Avoids need to enter
numerous drug allergies where one class would suffice.

* Progress Notes now feature a special Display Prompt. When you tab to
this prompt, Care4th(tm) presents pop-up window of pre-written choices
(created by you, of course) any of which you may select with a click!
You might have lists of physical findings for an organ system exam,
selected medications (e.g. NSAIDs), several "impression" paragraphs for
common disease notes, or any other list of choices. You can now create
progress notes which are fully individualized, include both standard
prompts (the contents of which you may delete, type over, or retain),
Display Prompts, and pre-entered text. This feature must be experienced
to appreciate its value to busy practitioners. Do you really still need
a transcriptionist? Many users do not, or at least have cut their needs
dramatically, with better notes, to boot.
             =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
We also do pictures - store images with progress notes!
Computerize your practice, not just your office.
