     Version 2.0 of Saber-C Introduces

     * Multi-Window Programming Environment for C *


     Saber Software is  now  shipping  version  2.0  of  its
Saber-C programming environment for Sun workstations and DEC
VAX computers running Ultrix and Unix.  This new release  of
Saber-C  provides  users  of  computer  workstations  with a
multi-window user interface that supports the Sun and X win-
dowing systems.

     Saber-C is an integrated  programming  environment  for
the  C  language. It consists of a powerful C interpreter, a
source  language  debugger,  and  a  comprehensive   program
checker  - all integrated into a single, easy-to-use system.
Within Saber-C's environment, users can perform  the  entire
development  cycle:  writing C code, creating test examples,
debugging a program and correcting errors.  Once  a  program
has  been tested and debugged, it can be compiled with any C
compiler.  Saber-C's design  combines  the  benefits  of  an
interpreter  -  fast  edit-to-execute times, static and run-
time error checking, and enhanced source language  debugging
tools - with the speed of execution offered by a C compiler.
In addition, Saber-C's unique error detection and  debugging
tools  find program errors early in the development process,
allowing programmers to produce bug-free  software  in  less
time.

     With the release of version 2.0, Saber-C provides users
with a multi-window interface that simplifies the process of
testing  and  debugging  complex  C   programs.    Saber-C's
window-based  browsers  help  users quickly navigate complex
data structures and examine the overall structure of a  pro-
gram.   These tools are particularly useful when programmers
are working with unfamiliar code or tracking obscure  errors
in a C program.
