TAO currently does not seem to support boxed types. Has anyone successfully used the IDL generated by Visibroker Java2IDL(for ejb components) with tao_idl ? Any recommedations to avoid WStringValue ? thanks in advance.. Vishal

I do not know why exactly, but I can give a good guess. You need to include the orb.idl file while working it out. The WStringValue is specified in the following namespaces... ::CORBA::WStringValue And this you get only if you include orb.idl in your idl file. And if its the case that TAO does not support values, something that I very much doubt, I guess, there is no option. So long, Jacob.
