Hi,
I am not able to run simple client ,server program using rootPOA.

My problem is that On server side I want to use rootPOA only with what
ever default policies it has . How to register my servant on the
rootPOA and on the client side how to access this servant and call
its operations.

Thanks

YOu can have such an example, but can't use bind() through osagent
with rootPOA only. You have to export your refernece through other
approachs, such object_to_string(), bind/resolve to/from INS service,
etc..

To bind() through osagent, you have to use a persistent POA.

But cant I bind to rootPOA by writing a statement in client like this

Bank.AccountManagerHelper.bind(orb, "/", managerId);
Where "/" is rootPoa name. When I write this client throws an exception that
POA "/" not found.

I think you've answered your own question. No you can't.

Since "bind" is proprietary, its "proper" behaviour is whatever Borland
says it should be. If Borland (Ke Jin) says that bind() should not be
expected to work for objects created in the rootPOA, that is the end
of the story.

I recommend that you don't use "bind".
