I couldn't agree with you more that it is important to request member e-mail
addresses. Let me tell what is planned regarding e-mail addresses: ACM will
be developing a member demographic database and one of the components will
be the member's e-mail address. Around the beginning of the calendar year we
will begin collecting demographic data, including e-mail addresses, so
you will be seeing space provided for e-mail addresses shortly.

It's beginning to look like e-mail is the favored way of getting in touch
with our Member Services Department.
