The last place I worked had a beautiful solution. It was a airline company and they have this phobia about key strokes and the gate agents and reservationist that would have to type them The year 2000 is not a problem for them since the year is never entered in any of their transactions. Therefore, when you make that reservation for March 3rd, the system is clueless as to the year. Programmers there have had to hack and cludge and fudge code for years to get it to work properly. The woman I worked with said she only fixed her stuff to run for dates greater than 1950 and less than 2000. I really do not think they understand what's going to happen to their big bad MVS system in 2000. Just so no one gets confused, that first sentence is sarcasm. Dave
