It was a standard practice that when you went to a DECUS seminar, you
paid your money and that was that. DECUS *never* gave refunds, not
for anyone or for any reason.
Until one day someone decided to sign up under his own name, pay the
regular price to attend and see the conferences.
For some reason, as soon as it was discovered who it was, the DECUS
organization decided to evict that particular person for prior conduct
which they disapproved of.
Since he had not committed any activity at that time which would legally
permit them to evict this person, DECUS did something they never did
before.
They cancelled someone's registration and refunded their money.
There is an old saying that "DECUS {Never} gives refunds."
Unless your name is Kevin Mitnick.
