		Multivendor Computing Developers Conference

			New Orleans, February 26-28, 1993

The First Multivendor Computing Developers Conference Designed by
Third Parties for Third Parties

This is a challenging time for independent software developers, value-added
resellers, system integrators, and consultants. Customers are calling for the
migration of products to multivendor client/server computing environments.
Vendors are adapting their business practices to new market realities. And
third-party developers are increasingly forced to "bet the business" on their
strategic choice.

That's why Digial Equipment Corporation, Microsoft Corporation, Novell, and
other major vendors have joined to support this conference, a production of the
Independent Developers Group of the Digital Equipment Computer Users Society
(DECUS).

It's the first multivendor computing conference designed by third-party
executives who face the same problems you face every day. As a result, it will
give you highly targeted, concise information that you can put to use right
away. Information that will help you make the strategic product and business
decisions successfully, such as:

- Vendor technology plans for the next six to eighteen months
- In-depth information on important new technologies, such as Digital's Alpha
AXP technology and Microsoft's Windows NT operating system
- How to migrate to a multivendor client/server computing model and position
  your business for the future
- How to work profitably with multiple vendors
- How other third-party developers are succeeding in a multivendor world
- The business and marketing implications of technology evolution

So, if you're concerned about the impact of new technologies and vendor
marketing strategies on your businessm you should attend this conference. You
won't find a better place to get the information you need, talk directly with
vendors about their plans, and explore new business strategies with your peers.

				HIGHLIGHTS

The Multivendor Computing Developers Conference is designed to make it easy for
you to get the information you need. Development of the conference concepts
and selection of session topics were guided by executives and managers from
leading independent development companies. The result? A program packed with
practical information presented by knowledgeable experts.

General Sessions

Friday morning, three general sessions will set the stage for the weekend.
They'll establish a context for understanding where computing technology is
headed and how its evolution will affect your products and business strategies
in the years ahead. In particular, you'll find out what Digital and Microsoft
are planning with respect to third-party solution development.

Sessions

Forty-eight 50-minute sessions are planned for Friday afternoon and Saturday.
These sessions address topics of crucial interest to independent developers and
consultants - information you won't find anywhere else. Included are
presentations of product strategies and new business practices by many of
today's leading vendors, including Digital, Microsoft, Oracle, Progress
Software, Novell, and Banyan.

Workshops

On Sunday morning, you'll get a chance to explore a selected topic in-depth, in
one of several morning-long workshops. In highly interactive formats, you'll
see demonstrations of computer-based application development tools and
experience first-hand what's involved in developing solutions for today's
multivendor world.

Technology Showcase

Throughout the program, you'll have access to a demonstration area that
presents computing technology from participating vendors. Take the opportunity
to explore vendor products in-depth in this hands-on environment.

Opportunities to Network with Vendors and Peers

Join us for a reception 7-10 PM Thursday night. Relax. Meet conference
organizers and speakers. Get to know managers from Digital, Microsoft, and
other leading vendors. And swap information with other independent developers
and consultants in an informal setting.

On Friday at 6:30 PM, reinforce your new-found relationships at dinner. And
finally, before departing the conference, wrap up your discussions at our
breakfast program on Sunday, 7:30-8:30 AM.
