Slipping deadlines from US DECUS?

Has anyone else noticed that US DECUS seems to have gotten into a mode of
always slipping deadlines? It seems like the last several symposia have been
accompanied by registration being moved back, CFP getting extended, etc. Now
this latest posting from Jeff is yet another example.

Are they taking lessons from Commander Scott? "You didn't tell 'im how long it
will REALLY take, did ya laddie?"

HOWEVER - I would strongly strongly strongly (enough stronglys?) recommend you
never start planning on it. I am involved in some of these schedules - the
ability to do this is not constant.

One other very important point - we never slide the early bird deadlines. So
if you want the lower cost registration fees make sure you pay attention to
those deadlines.
