I am interested in finding out the legalities of calling yourself an
engineer or the position you hold being that of an engineer. I am a
graduating Senior in Computer Engineering and chose not to take the
heavily ME/CH biased EIT exam. Would it be possible to use the title
Software Engineer or Systems Engineer if I have not taken and passed
the EIT? Is it only Professional Engineer that can not be used unless
you have passed the PE exam?

Please reply direct, and thank you in advance,
