US-CO-Colorado Springs-SONOS Device Physics Center New Semiconductor SONOS Device Physics Center Non-Volatile SONOS Technology: currently manufacturers Programmable Systems on a Chip with an innovative non-volatile memory technology called "SONOS". This technology has been developed and is newly installed in a production facility in Texas to support four newly developed programmable product lines: system clocks, micro-controllers, neural network controllers, and Universal Serial Bus interface controllers. A more advanced deep sub-micron version of the SONOS technology, is planned for development in the year 2001 and an additional product line, CPLDs, is expected to migrate to SONOS at that time. Device Physics Center Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado Device Physics Center Mission: The mission of the SONOS Device Physics Center is to design, develop, test, characterize, model and debug devices used to manufacture non-volatile SONOS technology products. The SONOS technology contains numerous devices, including standard n-channel and p-channel transistors capable of supporting CMOS logic, various high voltage n-channel and p-channel transistors to support non-volatile writing operations, a low voltage p-channel transistor to support low Vcc operation, a limited number of n-channel SONOS transistor capable of storing non-volatile data, several resistors including a high value well resistor, various capacitors including a metal-to-metal high-linearity capacitor, and a wide range of parasitic devices, including junctions, capacitors, CMOS isolation transistors, and vertical and horizontal bipolar transistors. The principle product of the SONOS Device Physics Center is the SONOS Technology device family as described in the Electrical Design Rules (EDRs). This Center will have the responsibility of developing, maintaining and evolving the contents of the SONOS EDRs. Device Physics Center Employees: All positions for the SONOS Device Physics Center are currently open. Included in this center will be the following individuals and responsibilities: 1. Device Physicist: SONOS non-volatile transistors 2. Device Physicist: Standard, low voltage, high voltage,& isolation CMOS transistors/junctions, bipolar transistors/junction 3. Device Physicist: Device Modeling (All devices) 4. Device Engineer: CMOS device characterization (All devices) 5. Device Engineer: SONOS device characterization We reward success and hard work with competitive salaries, tuition reimbursement, stock options and stock purchase plans, and a flexible benefits package.
