I haven't been to San Diego in ages and ages, and coming so far, I want to make a big book store run. I need Technical books, books on art history/theory, linguistics, fiction, and nonfiction. Can anyone recommend bookstores to me (especially anywhere near the Town & Country Hotel)? Thanks, *lindy* lindy@olsen.ch

Three that I can think of (and these are, of course, not
endorsements of any kind) are:
San Diego Technical Books
4698 Convoy (in Kearny Mesa)
279-4990
Book*Star
8650 Genesee (in inland La Jolla area)
457-7561
UCSD Bookstore
(on campus in coastal La Jolla)
534-7323
This is the search order I follow as well, even though
books are discounted at Book*Star...

San Diago Technical Books at 4698 Convoy is pretty good but it is at least a 15 minuit drive out of SD on the freeway. If you can get transport it is worth it if you are into computer books -- and no I don't work for them. hlf
