The Washington Area Computer User Group (WAC) will host a free Personal Computer Upgrade & Repair Clinic for WAC and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) PC User Group members on Saturday, June 18, 2011. WAC experts and volunteers will be on hand to help with virus and spyware removal, troubleshooting, and hardware and software installations (including GNU/Linux and properly licensed Microsoft Windows operating systems). You must contact us in advance to request assistance; refer to the clinic rules at http://www.wacug.org/clinic.html. Also featured at the June meeting, Stan Schretter will discuss his experience with Apple Macintosh computers (including the iMac and Macbooks) and demonstrate the MacOS, providing comparisons with features available on Microsoft Windows PCs. If you are debating a PC purchase or just curious about the Mac, don't miss this presentation! The meeting and clinic are scheduled for 12:30 to 3:30 PM on Saturday, June 18th at the OLLI Tallwood campus, 4210 Roberts Road, Fairfax, Virginia. WAC meetings are free and open to the public. Bring a friend! WAC is a general interest computer user group that supports the Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux operating systems. For more information, visit the WAC web site at http://www.wacug.org/ or call the WAC AnswerLine at (703) 370-7649.
