You are invited to the next meeting of the Washington Area Computer
User Group (WAC), scheduled on Saturday, September 19th from 12:30 PM
to 3:30 PM at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), 4210
Roberts Road, Fairfax, Virginia. The meeting is free and open to the
public. Preregistration is not required to attend.

OLLI member Rod Zumbro will discuss how you can watch Netflix movies
on your TV with Netflix-enabled devices such as a digital video player
and some Blu-Ray disc players, game consoles, digital video recorders,
home theater systems, and HDTVs. Netflix streaming allows you to watch
some 12,000 movies and TV shows included at no extra charge with
regular Netflix DVD-by-mail subscriptions.

WAC member Geof Goodrum will demonstrate watching TV shows and movies
over the Internet from such advertising-supported sites as Fancast and
Hulu. This is a great way to catch up on TV shows you (or your video
recorder) might have missed.

WAC member Paul Howard will demonstrate and discuss watching and
recording over-the-air broadcasts or cable TV on your personal
computer.

Learn 30 Session: Home Wireless Networking
WAC member Chuck Roberts will explain the basics for setting up and
securing a home wireless network to connect devices like computers and
printers and share an Internet connection. Chuck will also describe
how he connected multiple TiVo digital video recorders so he can watch
any recorded program on any TiVo in his home network.

WAC is a non-profit general interest computer user group that supports
the Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux operating systems. For more
information, visit our web site at http://www.wacug.org/, e-mail info
(at) wacug.org, or call the WAC AnswerLine at 703-370-7649.
