Whenever I dial in to a Netblazer from Linux using ppp, the following
message is created in the Netblazer log:
userid PPP/Lcp Protocol Reject (IPXCP): please do not use this protocol
I am using Linux 1.0.9 with ppp support. Everything seems to work just
fine in spite of the message. The Netblazer software is version 2.1.
My questions for the net are:
1) What is this message trying to say (other than don't use the
protocol, of course)?
2) Is there a work around?
3) If there is no work around, what are the consequences of ignoring the
message?
Please note that this message is cross-posted since there are two groups
involved in this topic. Thanks in advance for any useful information.
Please pardon me if this is a duplicate message. I'm trying to find a
server/newsreader combo that will actually post something from my site. :^(
