The version 0.4 of the Sound Card Driver is available at nic.funet.fi
(pub/OS/Linux/xtra/snd-kit/snd-driv-0.4.tar.Z)

This version contains support for the ProAudioSpectrum 16 card in
addition to the previously supported cards (AdLib, SoundBlaster and SB
Pro). Other ProAudioSpectrum models are not supported yet. File
snd-kit/snd-util-0.4.tar.Z contains additional utilities to be used with
the driver. 

Installation:

- Install linux 0.99 sources.
- Install files in the snd-driv-0.4.tar.Z
- If you are using nonstandard IRQ setting for the card, you have to
edit the line containing macro SOUND_SUPPORT in the linux/Makefile.
Standard settings are IRQ7 for SoundBlaster (SBC_IRQ) and 
IRQ5 for ProAudioSpectrum (PAS_IRQ).
- Continue installation as for standard Linux 0.99.

It is also possible to use the version 0.3 of the sound -driver with
Linux 0.99. Just follow the instructions above and don't try to apply
any patches provided with the driver. You have to make manually the
following change to the linux/kernel/chr_drv/sound/Makefile before
compiling the kernel. NOTE! The following is not necessary for the
version 0.4.

Completion:

The AdLib and SoundBlaster part is almost unchanged from the previous
version. It is in late beta or early production phase.

The ProAudioSpectrum part is in early alpha state.
