I've seen the "Best LAPTOP to buy for Linux?" thread, which provokes me
to ask the tangentially related question, what's the SMALLEST easily
available laptop to by for Linux.

I'm aware of the Libretto models, and the PC110, and others in the
very-very-small-notebook or borderline-palmtop category. But
appropriate models of those aren't totally satsifying to my
overcritical eye, so I'm wondering about alternatives.

I saw a Windoze CE palmtop advertised with possible 16Mb memory, and
J.Random Accessories, but I presume a linux port to one of those would
be unlikely (since many of them use exotic CPUs).

So. What have people accomplished in the "small, small linux world"
arena? Anybody got linux running on a sub-kilobuck palmtop (even if
without X), with an IP-networking solution (ppp, ethernet, whatever) for
"docking"? If not, what comes close?

Especially interesting is the "IP docking" question. Any experience
with PC110 or Libretto used remotely as a highly portable plug-in
computing brick from an X terminal would be of interest to me.

(Or is this an old and boring question, for which there is a FAQ I missed?)
